Education First
Sisters should be the best small town in Oregon to raise a family, with strong schools, outdoor learning, arts, and real roles for young people.
Good small towns are built around good schools. Families move here for the district, the mountains double as a classroom, and this community is full of people with skills and time to give.
We are asking how the community, beyond the district itself, can back great education for the next generation. Teacher retention and housing are part of it. So are outdoor and hands-on learning, arts and music, trades and STEM, and giving students real work in civic life instead of token seats at the table.
The Lab doesn't set school policy and does not speak for the district. Our job is to study what has worked in towns like ours, listen to teachers and students, and build community-side support that the district and families can use if they want it.
